Tattoo After Care

Tattoo aftercare is crucial for ensuring your new ink heals properly and maintains its vibrancy. Here are some tips:

  1. Follow Your Artist's Instructions: Each client will have a specific aftercare instruction, tailored to your tattoo. Follow them carefully.

  2. Keep It Clean: Gently wash your tattoo with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water. Pat it dry with a clean towel—avoid rubbing.

  3. Ointment: It’s ok to apply some A&D ointment or Aquaphor on your healing tattoo.

  4. Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your tattoo from the sun, especially during the initial healing phase. UV rays can fade and damage your tattoo. Use sunscreen with a high SPF if you must be in the sun.

  5. Don't Pick or Scratch: It's tempting, but avoid picking scabs or scratching your tattoo as it heals. This can cause scarring and affect the tattoo's appearance.

  6. Avoid Soaking: For the first few weeks, avoid soaking your tattoo in water, whether it's in a bath, pool, or hot tub. Showers are fine, but avoid direct water pressure on the tattoo.

  7. Wear Loose Clothing: Opt for loose, breathable clothing over the tattooed area to prevent friction and irritation.

  8. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, which aids in the healing process.

  9. Watch for Signs of Infection: Keep an eye out for signs of infection, such as excessive redness, swelling, or oozing pus. If you suspect an infection, contact us or a healthcare professional immediately.

Remember, every tattoo heals differently, so it's essential to listen to your body and adjust your aftercare routine accordingly. If you have any concerns during the healing process, don't hesitate to reach out to us for guidance.
